How to Edit PDF using Drive

Step 1:   Upload PDF to drive
Step 2:   After the document has been uploaded.
Step 3:   Double Click over PDF
Step 4:   From the header of the PDF viewer on a drive, click over "open with google docs"

Step 5: A Google Doc document will be open with all PDF details on as shown in bellow gif.

How to publish google sites

Step 1 : Click Over Publish button 
Step 2: Will appears to pop up a window with title Publish your site 

Step 3 : Fill the form as needed 

  • web address: the title of the website which you would share with through the link 
  • who can view my site : select right group you would like to view your website 

Step 4 : Finally click Publish

How to change menu in Google Website

Step 1: From header section, select the top secion near the title of page element , an wheel icon will appears click over as following animation shows. 

Step 2: Will appears two modes, the first mode is the standard one which is called "Top Navigation " as following 

while second one will be the following mode  which is call " side menu "

And that how to choose type menu, in next post will discuss publishing google site. 

How to Create Pages in Google Sites

Step 1: From Right-hand side menu, Click " Pages"

Step 2 : Create  Second Page by 

  • click on + icon 
  • select from the pop-up menu New Page 
  • Type the title of the new page 
  • Click Done 

Step 3 : Create Sub Page for Second Page 

  • Select title of the page that subpage would be sub for 
  • then right click on the 3 dots which will appear  
  • after that select from the menu "Add Subpage "


Step 4 : Add into Menu an External Link 

  • click on + icon 
  • select from the pop-up menu Link 
  • Type the title of the link 
  • Then Type the link which would like to link with the title 
  • Click Done 

and that was how to add pages into the Site , in ntext post will discuss the menu types and system. 

How to Create a Content for Page in Google Site

Step 1 : Right-hand side banner, make sure you are in Insert tab
Step 2 : Double click into the element which you would like to insert into the body such as Text box as following animation shows.

Step 3: Select the element and resize the box width depend on the number columns this element would reserve as the following animation shows.

Step 4: Add other elements in the same way.

And this is the step to prepare the content for a single page, in next post will discuss how to create other pages.

How to Dive into your Site

In this Post will discuss how to write website name & adjust banner suite our needs, please follow the next steps by

Step 1 : From the website Settings top banner, Type title of your Site in Area with Text Untitled Site to the title of your website.

Step 2 : Select best banner type for the site by going to the banner section and checking various type of banners as following animation.  

Step 3 : An optional step which can be done which is changing the background image which can be done by select change image as following animation, then select either upload image or select an image

Create Google Site and Understand The anatomy of the Website

Step 1: Create A website by Visit following link : 

After pressing on the link a new Google site would be created and all that does it needs to be filled.  

Step 2: Understanding the Environment or Platform 

Before getting further with building a website through Google sites, Let us understand the environment the Google Sites. But before that let us colour coding the situation. 

1. Red is elements 
2. Baby blue would be Settings 
3. Pink would be Section of the page 

Let start first with Pink: Pink is an area of the actual website so when we are pointing with pink is going to discuss a section. 

The main two sections in Google site which would be our focus are : 
  1. Header Section 
  2. Body Section 
The Header Section (1) is a section which would be the header of the website which contains page banner and title and that can be change too. 

While Section (2) is the section would be contains the body or content of your website. 

The Second Area which would discuss is the Blue Are which is Setting sections or area 

The Web Setting Area : is where you would setup general information of the Website which would reflect setting of the whole site. 

Pages Settings Area : is the area which would configure pages layout , elements , ...etc. 

Final Area which going to be discuss in this post is element , which currently pointing into items on banners and website settings .

How to upload Video into My Map

Uploading the Video into My Map from Google would be by using YouTube facility, so create your own YouTube channel for uploading the video.

Step 1 : Go to the map
Step 2 : Select the location point which you would like to add a video over

Step 3: From the popup window, click over the camera icon 
Step 4: A choose an image or a video pop up window will show up, with a different method to insert image or video.
Step 5 : The video will be set up on the location point and then click Save  the details

Note : No any more support upload video to location point directly or through google drive, Just support YouTube Video.

Force Google Doc to English

To Make sure that your google docs going to be view in English Format, just follow the steps :
Step 1: Get your link from a share link button 
Step 2: A pop-up window with the title " Share with others " as below image will appear

Step 3: Copy the link and past in some another doc or over the notepad or even over the address bar

Our example URL :

Step 4: In that URL replace ?usp=sharing with ?hl=en as shown in below example

And by this way, you had forced the document to be in English

Create your own map over Google My Map by Import Data

Step 1: Go to Google Maps from the following link : Click Here 

Step 2 : Click over a red button with label "+ CREATE A NEW MAP"

Step 3: A map would show up with a white panel on the left-hand side, check the details in the white panel. 

Step 4 : Fill the White Panel with details you would like to include in the map to the viewer as the following image. 

Step 5: Import the data, in this example, would import data from google sheet which shared in the drive. 

Step 6 : The data will be retrieved and will pop up a couple of dialogue box, first one would request to choose columns to position your placemarks, so select the column title with country or city details and then click on "continue"

Step 7: After that would request from you to choose a column to title your markers, so select the marker title which you would like to be shown to map viewer. 

Step 8: the data will be retrieved into the map, but would be all in same colour and shape of the marker. In this step, you would Click over "Uniform Style" link 

Step 9 :  After Click uniform style a mini pop up window with two drop-down boxes, 
  1. the first one with title "Group places by " : Select the filter or field which divide the marketplace with 
  2. The second would be set labels: so you may choose the label from the drop-down list too. 
Step 10: close the pop-up window and in this step you free to share, preview and embed the map as you would like.
